About three years ago we lived directly across the street from the Victoria Gardens Mall in Rancho Cucamonga.
If anything, it was convenient for shopping and eating out, which we love to do. One of our favorite watering holes at the outdoor mall is the Yardhouse restaurant. We like this restaurant for the simple but good menu, the 100+ beers they offer, the tv’s placed everywhere so you can watch your favorite game and of course, the people. Many people have found Yardhouse to be the place to go on the weekends and even on select weekday evenings. Social hour starts at about 8:00pm and goes on until closing time.My wife and I go there because it’s fun without the “club” type environment. Most of the people are young professionals that behave themselves (for the most part), though it does have a “pick up” feel to it. Being married I have no interest in looking around but many of the men there do. I had forgotten how hard it was being single and trying to find the right person.Though it may seem obvious, much of the initial attraction to people is physical, how a person looks that gains attention and maybe an introduction. It was just 3 years ago in the restroom a saw a gentleman fretting over his hair in the mirror, moving it in multiple directions trying to get better coverage I suppose. He was thinning on top, which most of us will at some point, some sooner than others. He couldn’t help but comment after he noticed I caught him playing with his hair. He said “man I gotta go to Bosley and do something about this”.I remember telling him to give it a try, at least it’s permanent, probably doesn’t cost that much for his level of hair loss.It was a light conversation. I didn’t think I’d run into this guy again but about 18 months later I did. The only difference was he didn’t look the same.It turns out he took my advice and gave Bosley a try. Honestly, I was surprised how natural it turned out, one would never know.I haven’t had a problem with hair loss (yet) but when discussing this with my wife she enlightened me to the fact that it’s probably really hard to have something your entire life (your hair) then suddenly (or what seems suddenly) it’s gone. I guess that makes sense. The good news is that the technology has obviously come a long way. Bosley Medical seems to be the leader at this and I know of at least one happy customer where it changed everything for him. They have a couple of websites.I did some research and found this one www.bosleymedical.com.The information is good and they describe how things have changed and how the process works.I think the key for most people is to know that the end result is going to be undetectable. From my untrained eye what Bosley had done for this gentleman was great. Apparently they do this for women too, which is interesting. I have seen a few women with thinning hair but not nearly as many as men, maybe they do a better job of hiding it.
